Ambitious Seville

Its rich cultural diversity and complexity, spanning thousands of years of history, make Spain an incredibly fertile ground for the birth of architectural jewels that designers like us relish.

During our visit to the Setas stadium in Seville, we were immediately impressed by its innovative and modern design. The building's organic shapes and bold curves stand out strikingly among the surrounding structures. Aptly named "The Mushrooms" due to its distinctive shape, the stadium was designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer in 2011.

The Setas stadium is a perfect example of modern architecture and creativity. The building is composed of six levels, three of which are accessible to the public, and features a rooftop terrace that offers stunning views of the city. The steel and concrete structure is made up of soft curves and smooth surfaces, creating an impression of fluidity and movement. Other materials such as wood, glass, and metal are used to create an elegant and warm atmosphere while maintaining the stadium's modern and avant-garde look.

The construction cost was nearly 100 million euros, making it not only an ambitious but also a very expensive project. The exceptional result - which has become a major attraction for visitors to Seville - was well worth it! In addition to being used for sporting events, the stadium also houses shops, restaurants, and public spaces, providing a meeting and entertainment venue for the city's residents and tourists.

What can we say about this visit other than it was an incredible and inspiring experience! The design, architecture, and budget allocated to the project testify to the creativity and innovation of its designers, as well as the importance of investing in large-scale architectural projects.
