A true haven of peace, this residence is located in the middle of nature and is perfectly adapted to its peaceful setting. Respect for the environment and a search for harmony were also the driving considerations of the owners.

Their concern for a home integrated into its natural setting can be seen in various facets of the project. Oxidized cedar, laid vertically, was chosen for the exterior cladding because of its raw, timeless and warm appearance. Fieldstone and lime-like mortar were used for the masonry.

Sustainable development considerations also played their role in inspiring the project. Thanks to its orientation, the layout of the rooms and the abundant fenestration (including the glass roof), this house receives optimal exposure to the sun.
