Gentle

The scene of the Rebellion of 1837, the rich Maison Gentle is now part of Quebec’s heritage. The original house, which had been transformed over the years as its various owners saw fit, underwent a major renovation in 1982 to regain its original proud appearance.

Daoust Design became the new owner and carried out its own restoration in 2015. Today, the residence displays both its unique ancestral cachet and a resolutely contemporary look.

To meet its particular needs, the design firm created an office area in the spectacular attic and a materials library on the garden level. On the first floor, the layout and amenities of a typical house have been preserved. The kitchen is a unique place for welcoming clients with warmth and conviviality.

It would be hard to imagine a more authentic and inspiring setting to foster the creation of unique spaces that judiciously respond to our clients’ desires and requirements.
